You may have a class of advertising graduates who are starting out and looking for a job/internships. Tell them to bookmark http://www.jobstaxi.com/index.php?q=advertising+internship. Or maybe, you have a dear family member in New York who’s specialized in private banking and recently got retrenched, try getting him to type ‘private banking new york city‘ into the search bar.

JobsTAXI responds to what you are searching for. Just remember, whatever keyword is of a higher priority, type it in first.

Sort out the listings the way you’d do it on Finder, or Windows Explorer.

It’s really easy. Start off by typing your keyword into the search bar. When the results appear, click on any one of the four indexing variables (Date Posted/Position/Location/Company) to sort out your listings.

Let jobs you want find you!

One thing you should have realized by now — JobsTAXI only finds you jobs you WANT (that’s why you searched for it, isn’t it?). So how can you be kept in the loop whenever a job you want pops in?

Here’s how — let’s take it that you’re a programmer looking for opportunities in Chicago. Simply start by typing in ‘Programmer Chicago‘ in the search bar. Then click on the button “Also Email Me”, and you’re set.

The next time any new job relating to the keywords ‘Programmer Chicago’ get posted on JobsTAXI, an email gets sent to you automatically!

That’s it for now. Stay tuned for more enhancements coming to JobsTAXI!

Welcome to the class of Web 2.0

It’s everywhere…

I do mean everywhere, within a glance, it’s easy to spot a couple of sites that you visit about as frequently as The Nutty Professor would have snacks in a day. Yes, it’s official, web 2.0 is no longer a phenomenon, it’s  a staple..

Within the above picture though, how many recruitment sites are really considered web 2.0? There’s a few that i’ve seen online, Jobster and Krop are good examples, but none has truly captivated the web 2.0 audience, like you know, grabbed it by it’s balls.

If web 2.0 is a staple in these modern times, shouldn’t the recruitment industry be moving towards that direction. A great description of a web 2.0 jobseeker can be found here . Every other industry is embracing the step forward, but till this day, the NY Times has job classified section. A Classified section in a newspaper is an equivalent to a cassette tape in this day and age, an online Job board would be probably like a Compact Disc. I’m waiting for an mp3 equivalent. An Itunes for jobs per say. That would be wicked.

I think looking for a job should be as fun as looking for a friend on facebook.  If that day comes, then maybe, just maybe…

We’ll see a couple of notable “recruitment” additions to the class of Web 2.0.
